Future Risk of Hurricanes: The Role of Climate Change
Scientists focus on hurricane-prone Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea to assess likely changes

Zooming in on future climate, scientists are "nesting" a regional weather model, at a resolution as fine as 2.5 miles, within a global model, at a resolution of about 100 miles.
